Andhra University plays a vital role in the life of a student. It plays different functions like, being efficiency, guide students to receive right direction from the right teachers, and enables the pupil to get profit from their learning, bring coordination of the student-teacher-parent-society. By this reason Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) has selected Andhra University as a Regional Co-ordinate Institute for flagship program Unnat Bharat Abhiyan for North Andhra. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development process by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an Inclusive India.
The Andhra Pradesh government headed by Chief Minister Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has bifurcated the North Andhra five districts (Srikakulam, Vizainagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and West Godavari) into ten new districts viz., Srikakulam, Manyam, Vizainagaram, Visakhapatnam, Alluri Seetharama Raju, Anakapalli, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Ambedkar Konaseema and Eluru. Under the jurisdiction of RCI, UBA, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam all the above said districts are covered. RCI, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam maintain contact with all participating institutes and stay an active part in the conduction of activities and visiting of adopted villages. We will provide constructive feedback and the focus on solving challenges with communication. Nearly 200 colleges are registered till now.
This program has enriched the participating institute coordinator to effectively participate in the holistic development in their adopted villages using eco-friendly sustainable technologies and local resource, creating sufficient employment opportunities in the process, harnessing multifarious government schemes, customize use of existing technologies and use of knowledge as per the local needs to improve the local masses. By using this program the participating institutes have been conducted activities like Swatch Bharat-Clean and Green, Importance of Yoga, Poshana Abhiyan, Blood donation camp, Health Awareness Program, Identification of Literacy rate, Awareness on youth participation in politics, Seminar on National Education Policy-2020, Protest rally against crimes on women etc. Present our ideas in a skillful, effective and professional manner; communicate our expectations very clearly to all Participating Institutes. We are truly impressed with how all Participating Institutes managed to meet every goal set before them.
